Ready For The Holidays

“Get ready for the holidays!!!!”, a man frantically says …

You hear it through your theater speakers, and you aren’t even out of your bed.

Outside in your yard, this year’s turkey hears the message blasting hard …

Geez … aren’t we pushing this ahead a tad, I’m not yet dead!

It’s not that the turkey is complaining,

he’d rather liveĀ  another year without his dinner table phobia.

But it’s his true fear that is coming quite near …

If we eliminate the turkey from the year,

will we start to forget why this country is here?

Respect the turkey …. don’t honor the Thanksgiving Day pre-Black Friday sales. Did the marketing people even realize they are shooting themselves in the foot by basically eliminating the consumer holiday tradition of Black Friday?

Mystery

Mystery we find sometimes by accident,

Sometimes as simple as where the keys went.

Mystery shows a state of life,

Wondering why the time went is full of strife.

Mystery, a key to wonderous thoughts,

how did we get here … who knows?

Mystery begins a process of unknown,

confusing what will happen as we get done.

Mystery opens a mind closed to dreams,

but closes a mind to other things.
